Jobster was founded in February 2004 by Jason Goldberg and Phillip Bogle. Located in Seattle, Wash., it was backed by the investors Ignition Partners, Trinity Ventures, Mayfield Fund, and Reed Elsevier Ventures. In April 2009, Jobster officially changed its name to Recruiting.com to better align with its new strategic focus as a provider of sourcing and CRM for recruiters. In April 2010, the Jobster.com Web property was sold by Recruiting.com to Zapoint, Inc., and in July 2010, Jobing acquired Recruiting.com, which included the award winning CRM for recruiters and free Web resume search software

The Cheesman Group
Founded in 2005 by industry expert Joel Cheesman, The Cheesman Group served as a recruitment industry niche providing consulting services through HRSEO, a search engine optimization consulting business; HirePPC, an agency provider focusing on pay per click candidate generation; mJob, a provider of mobile recruiting solutions; and shared independent thoughts and ideas through its renowned industry blog, Cheezhead.com. The company’s founder is a recognized professional speaker in the industry with topics focusing on recruitment best practices and online marketing strategies.

WorkMetro
In February of 2008, Jobing.com acquired San Jose-based WorkMetro, Inc., which operates local employment websites in 22 major markets across the United States, including Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Nashville, Philadelphia, Tampa, Miami, St. Louis, and Raleigh/Durham. WorkMetro was founded in 2003 and venture funded by Bessemer Venture Partners and JAFCO Ventures. Similar to Jobing.com, WorkMetro.com utilized leading-edge Web technology, a locally-focused business model, and an aggressive local advertising presence to address the needs of local employers and job seekers.

LocalCareers.com Network
LocalCareers.com was launched in October of 1998 under the domain “WiJobs.com” by longtime recruiting professional Brian Weis. Through the early acquisition of other career sites and a successful business model, the company evolved into a network of some 400 sites around the country, including notable employment domains such as WisconsinJobs.com, ArizonaJobs.com, CaliforniaJobs.com, NevadaJobs.com, TexasJobs.com and FloridaJobs.com. In addition, LocalCareers.com created niche employment sites such as Jobs4sales.com, Jobs4HR.com, and a number of other industry-specific websites.

Employocity
Founded in 1996 in Houston by former HR professionals Jerry Kowalchik and Ryan Murphy, Employocity grew a network of websites that included HoustonEmployment.com, PhoenixEmployment.com, DFWEmployment.com, ChicagoEmployment.com, LAEmployment.com, and many others. Their flagship property in Houston has been recognized as Houston’s top employment website.

ColoradoJobs.com (CareerTrek Consulting)
Founded in 1995, ColoradoJobs.com and DenverJobs.com are a staple in the local marketplace thanks to the excellent work of their founder, Charlie Milliet. The company was well known and respected throughout Colorado and Mr. Milliet remains with Jobing as a Platform Development Manager.

JobSummit
The largest and most successful independent job board in California was founded by William O’Toole in 1999 and grew to success in Southern California and San Diego. With more than 20 employees, the company served Southern California with a highly-visited website and outstanding career events. Mr. O’Toole continues a strong relationship with Jobing and has been instrumental in technology-related research and development projects for the company.

The California Online Job Network was founded in 1998 by Bill Kellaway as the premiere source for local jobs thoughout the State of California. Operating under the domains of CAJobs.com, LosAngelesJobs.com, OaklandJobs.com, RiversideJobs.com, SacramentoJobs.com, SanDiegoJobs.com, SanFranciscoJobs.com, and SanJoseJobs.com, the service provides broad-reaching access to California’s largest metropolitan communities.

Founded in 2003 by former recruiter Sylvia Miller, Rhinomite was the leading local job board in South Florida and also had operations in Rhode Island. Recognized for its outstanding service, Rhinomite was rapidly expanding and forming excellent partnerships with organization like NBC6 and Muvico. Sylvia currently serves as Vice President, Industry Solutions for Jobing.

Colorado Career & Job Expo
Colorado’s oldest job fair company, CCJE had operated in Denver for more than 10 years and was widely recognized as the leading job fair promoter in the Denver area.

CareersColoardo.com was the leading locally-focused job board operating in Denver and Colorado Springs. Founded in 1996 by recruiter Vicki Steere, the company operated both an online job board and local job fairs.
